FAQ - Members Network
How can I become friends with another member?
- Click on the button add to my network or send invitation in the members profile. If you dont see one of these buttons, you are blacklisted by this member and cant become friends with him.
- Select Send [members name] an invitation. You can add a personal message that the member will receive together with the invitation.
- Click on GO.
As long as the member does not accept the invitation, you will see this member in the list of members you are tracking. You will receive a message in your IQLog as soon as the member accepts the invitation.
How can I track a member?
- Click on the button add to my network in the members profile. If you dont see one of these buttons, you are blacklisted by this member and cant become friends with him.
- Select I want to track this Member.
- Click on GO.
What happens if I put a member on my blacklist?
Members on your blacklist are not able to track you; they cant answer or comment on your questions, comment on your answers or send you an invitation. You wont receive any suggestions from members on your blacklist.
What are suggested members?
Lycos iQ will suggest members to you based on your tags. You can see these members on the "“My suggestions”" page.
What are the criteria for suggested members?
The system suggests members in the tags that you have been active in. You can change the criteria on "“Edit Suggestions”."
Can I see a list of all user ranks?
Yes, a list of all user ranks within Lycos iQ is available here.
How can I reach a higher rank?
Your rank is based upon the amount of iQ points you earned so far.
The rank shown in your profile is updated once a day because of security and performance reasons.
