Do you and your partner go shopping together? More below..

You can include the weekly or monthly food shop if you like, but I was more referring to it as a shared leisure activity.

Do you like going shopping with them, or are you one of these people that gets bored in a second flat and wants to go home or to the pub?(!)

Why do you go with them - is it because you take a genuine interest, your opinion on stuff is sought, or you just don't trust their judgement?lol

I go or she goes...very rarely together it just ends up getting dragged out...."shall we get that or that.....?"

I prefer going on my own for food or clothes. Get in get out, no browsing....it's the browsing that makes me want to get out.

Plus, I go at 7 or 8pm at night, nice and quiet.

She'll go at 3pm on a Saturday when there's a scrum at every checkout!!

I used to love browsin shops with my wife - and still do from time to time - but my tolerance is a lot less because we browse in completely different ways.

Here's another gender stereotype for you, Loopy! (I know you love the stereotyping of the sexes! Lol!) I, as a man, can stand in the doorway of a shop - or at the very most, have a 30 second wander - and see if there is something to appeal to me. Andrea, as a woman, likes to look at every item of clothing on every rail. Whether she likes it or not, she checks if they have it in their size, thus taking hours to browse round each shop. When I shop with most other women, they are the same!

Supermarket food shopping, we do independently. I tend to plan better for the week, knowing how many meals we need to prepare and planning to cook them or freeze bits ahead of time. My wife tends to buy what appeals to her as she walks round, or buys lots of non-freezable stuff with a very short sell-by date! But I'll often go for stuff that I've seen on TV or is on offer, whereas she won't!

We rarely go short of stuff!

I do like on-line shopping though, especially groceries - you can be far less swayed by the lure of shiny things that look tasty!

We do shop together, but we have an understanding... When I move in, I will do all the food shopping, and she will do all the clothes shopping. That way, we both get to do the kind of shopping we like, and avoid the kind that we hate.

Of course, there will be some overlap, but it's not an ideal world.
