Why do people ring them up to register a 'Don't Know' vote.

A just for fun survey is ok. It's results provide us all with questions on here such as 'What is the best film with a duck-billed platypus in?'

Are they better than none at all?

Don't Know.

They are all a bit of fun. Well, 78% of them are.

The truth is that most surveys that are publicised in the media are not genuine, objective surveys. I think it was summed up best in an episode of "Yes Minister" when leading questions lead the minister to two opposing answers within minutes - companies pay for these surveys and interpret them as they wish!

But they are good fun - and often provide discussion points.

I think you should add up the answers to your question and decide from the stats.
