Last night, I saw a maginc trick where a magician took a friend's wristwatch and stopped the second hand for a few seconds, without any obvious manipulation of the dial or winding mechanism.

How on earth did he do this? It was a brillian trick just inches in front of my eyes, but I couldn't figure out how he did it!

magnets can do that maybe he had an electro magnet somewhere you couldnt see.
