Ducks and dives.

Not sure what you're getting at, but he's one of the members that's been here longest and so is bound to "know" more people if you're talking in an iQ sense.

In the real world I believe he treats people with respect and courtesy, always big winners.

Bribes them with chocolate?

Sorry, hope you don't mind me sticking my beak in, my ears were burning?

Just saying.

Supplement from 02/12/2007 08:07am:

... also, I treat them with respect, which is usually earned; I don't talk about them behind their back; if I have something to say they can rest assured that I will say it but, specifically, I tend to treat those people as I like to be treated myself. There will always be those who you think are friends but actually snipe at you from behind the grassy knoll but, rest assured, you tend to see through their guise relatively quickly.

In short, we're all human and we all come across differently.Sometimes a person's avatar or name can help you form an opinion that is totally misleading. I only recently found out that CM's screenname is actually that of a duck!

You get the same mix of people here as you do in real life. The only problem is that there's no real contact. We can't see expressions, or body language, or even eyes and as a result it's very easy to take the written word the wrong way.

you don't "win" friends, you only lose them, that's here, in real life, down the pub...

i wish we had a pub here.

i fancy a pint.

anyway, that whole "how to win friends and influence people" book? what a load of (this word has been deleted)!

absolute s(the rest of this word has been deleted).

YOU have it easy. a cute avatar goes a long long way.
