When the current population seems to behave worse than the previous should we get rid of them as well. Might just be a perception, that, or our expectation is higher than the outcome?

1, every 1 tends to look back with rose tinted specs , the issues now always seem more important than previous issues.

if one party is in term for just one term the most common excuse for any failing is -
'when we entered office we had much to do after the mess left by the previous incumbents although progress has been slow and somewhat difficult our policys have started to make some improvement and we hope to have solved the problem entirely by the end of the next term.
(so you'd best vote us in or the oppo' will screw it up again) .

at least broadly speaking imho if one party remains in power for any lengh of time hopefully policys will remain in force unchanged for long enough to make a difference (not always for the best) instead of knee jerk u turns
