I am already, best to my ability.
I dont use chemicals in home.(cannot anyway as i have pets.) I have my own compost bin, I shred my personal papers etc, goes into said compost bin. Hate carrier bags as i cannot get rid of them. Tea bags go into compost bin, i tend to use rain water for my indoor plants. when cleaning out fish tanks and filters, i use the water and fish poop as feed for my plants. I grow herbs in my garden. I am limited in what i can do. I smoke outside, the ash is also used on my plants. I dont drink pepsi etc. but with the empty plastic lemondade Bottles, these are made into bird feeders and for them to drink water out of. :0)

Stop throwing perfectly good things away! Use those old jars to store things in, as paintbrush cleaning things, to water the house plants with before rinsing in used washing up water and recycling them.
Use old plastic trays from veg/meat to grow plants in, carry kitchen scraps to compost bin in and better still don't buy pre-packed stuff in the tray at all. Re-use the plastic bags for vegetables as rubbish bags, dog poop bags, clear ones over seedlings. Better still go for paper bags or take your own when you shop.
Buy energy efficient lighting- will go on forever meaning less waste to dump.
Plastic bottles either good for watering plants with, or cutting up and making your own plant labels with.
Reuse tins/cans; again even if only to water the plants with before recycling them.
We throw far too much away, when it can be used again or given to someone else who will use it.
When you start to re-use at least once the rubbish yo uaccumulate it'll make you realise just how much you have previously discarded and think twice before buying stuff that is over packaged.
