Reports suggest that summer arctic ice caps will be a thing of the past by 2020,

don't you think that the evidence that global climate change is due to man's influence, and even if it isn't there's no harm in trying to live greener.

The harm comes from the multi million pound industry that's sprung up around people's conviction that we are in charge of the planet.

The earth has heated and cooled many times in its long and illustrious history, long before we were around.

In my opinion....end of.

I think we are ruled by the oil industry. They have the power and the money to convince us that everything is OK because they are not interested in what is happening for the coming generations. And we know what they are interested in. Who do you think was paying for the TV program about the "Global Warming Swindle"?
It is true that there are natural fluctuations, but the balance is critical and this is the first time in the history of mankind that we are able to upset it.
And yes, I think there are also other reasons for living greener.

All said - still: no harm in at least trying to live closer to nature, to be properly nurtured!

This subject has been raised so many times now, its becoming boring.

The heating and cooling of this planet is a natural cycle of events, all being controlled by the actions of the sun.

Still, as Regina TWerner says, there is still no harm in trying to save energy and live greener, as it saves you money in the long run.

global climate change is a natural cycle of events, However that does not let us of the hook,
we are speeding the process up out of its natural cycle, and will have to deal with the consequences even within our own lifetimes. We really should have more concern for the legacy we are leaving future generations
Not to mention the impact on every living creature on the planet.
It shouldn't matter if we believe that we are causing climate change or not, nor should it matter if we beleive we can halt it, we know that the way in which we live and the pollution industry creates is harmful to health and to the enviroment and for these reasons if nothing else we must find greener ways to live.

I think we should start bottling Cow's farts.
Apparently, this is one of the many reasons for Global warming and 'Top Gear' proved it can be used to run cars.
