If you are looking for a word to use instead of 'shocked', try stunned. If not, how about horrified, appalled or tramatised? I think that this question might be de-activated if you don't put an actual question into it, so you might want to add a supplement which makes it clearer.

Don't know if you're looking for something like this: "For a moment I felt as if my whole body was paralysed. I felt a cold sweat break out on my forehead and the movement that had been denied me before suddenly returned as I dropped to my knees and extended a shaking hand towards his neck, hoping against hope to feel a pulse." Okay I know it's a bit cheesey, (several pounds of Camembert, in fact) but it might help you. At least now you know what not to write.

Aghast, petrified, staggered, mute, confused, floored, stupefied. Any of these could fit the bill.
