I have an Epson stylus photo 1290 and am getting "tractor' marks down the page when I print. I have run all of the utilities to align / clean head etc. but the issue looks like it may be dirty rollers, which I have tried to wipe clean with no avail

It is possible depending on the age of the machine and its use that the rollers may need replacing. You can take it to be serviced and that might help. Have you checked the rollers are in the correct position and no dust/paper etc has affected there movement?
