This may help - but I do not personally have any experience of it.

Supplement from 12/18/2007 01:06pm:
There seems to be plenty of phonetic dictionaries for English-Foreign Languages etc but none I know of purely for English.
Googling Phonetic Dictionary brings up 25,000 entries! So there must be one out there.
A possible interest may be the electronic phonetic dictionary (bills itself as the "one-and-only" so maybe it really is) which you'll find at

Another possibility is for you to follow George Bernard Shaw who was an early proponent of Phonetic Alphabets - he was linked to the Fabians (Fabian Society) - so maybe they have put out a phonetic dictionary or might know where one could be obtained. It'd take some sleuthing and googling though. Best of luck.
