Yet another disaster, Are you surprised?

Isn't it about time that this government stopped faffing about with 'Sound-Bite politics' and got on with the job that they are paid for?

No surprise whatsoever. While the government is concentrating on things that everyone knows is trivial (standby switch) they will not be taken seriously.

I hadn't heard about this "E Day" until I read this. It does blame the lack of success partly on poor publicity, I'm not surprised

I'm not surprised. As long as its there people will use it. The best way of doing this Energy saving day is advertise everywhere that on whatever day they will be shutting down the National Grid i think that will work hehe

It's way past time the government did the job they're paid for and since they and their fore runner's hav failed so abysmally, then all future "representation" should be penalty claused. Funded, by a productivity based collective insurance bond!

Woe betide the triviality then!!
