If you had the opportunity to immunise yourself against any aspect of life , what would you choose to be immune to?

Chocolate digestives would come close to the top of the list ( ever since doing dunking experiments they have become a small voice in the back of the larder.)

But more than anything else, I would immunise myself against loneliness. I find being alone so often and for so long quite unbearable at times.

Please give a reason for your choice.

diseases, including colds, flu, chavs...

Supplement from 04/02/2008 12:58am:

reason: i seem to catch anything and everything going. 200+ rhinoviruses, and i think i'm finding extras.

and i don't like the general attitude often portrayed by chavs, neds, kids who think they know better and try to prove it in boy-racer cars with illegal exhausts... you know the sort.

Nothing, and thats completely serious. There are many things in life I dont enjoy (toothache has to be a serious contender) but in honesty there is not a simgle experience of my life, however bad I would wish not to have felt or experienced.
Death will be the ultimate immunisation to all these misfortunes and when I consider that I realise that all in between has value to me.

Being to analytical over most things as sometimes I would just like to rush in for the fun of it but I have to analyse everything to the hilt.

Must also admit you digestive theory also happens in our house as well but they also gang up with the malted milks.

Histrionics. We've all had varying levels of crap in our lives yet some like to remind you of how awful life has treated them on a daily or hourly basis in detail. "Here's 10p, go and call someone who gives....." Actually, some time since I used a phone box, probably a quid these days.

Failure. I like to succeed in what I do, ranging from making things and other work I do, to relationships with everyone I encounter.

No, I don't deplore my own record, but neither have I succeeded as well as I would have wished, in a number of situations or areas. So i keep struggling to provent future shortfalls and failures.

Colds, certainly. They're rather annoying.

While it may be tempting to immunise against death, I think the planet is going to pot so that might not be so much fun in the long term. I think instead I'd immunise against any long, drawn out & painful deaths (e.g. Cancer).

Fear, specifically the stupid, irrational kind that stops me from doing things. I *should* go to the dentist, but I'm scared that I might need some work done... I *should* send my synopsis off but it might get rejected... etc, etc.

Deeply irritating and difficult to deal with, would like to be a little bit more immune please.

Bad eyesight. I had astigmatism as a child and i am very short sighted in the right eye. However as i'm getting older i'm getting long sighted in the left eye and its an absolute bloody pain in the a**. I now have a pair of specs to wear all the time but can't have varifocals due tothe shortsight, one pair for reading and one pair for VDU use. As i can't have varifocals i end up looking over the top of my specs to read things.

The Ego. It keeps us wrapped up in our own bodies, blocked off from loving others and understanding our part in the bigger picture. The ego makes us forget that we are being looked at by others as we look on them. The ego makes us forget that the only place we really live in is the present moment--the ego causes suffering over the past disappointed and the future useless. The moment, free from the ego, is real life. The ego is like the matrix, it traps us in the status quo and negligence of real time.

Sadness & the causes of sadness, then I would always be happy, I would never get ill, people I know would not die, I would not get bills, I would never have problems or be depressed & I would enjoy life even more.
I already don't watch the news or soaps, so I've already started my immunisation lol

Another top answer. Those blasted soaps are a killer...talk about doom and gloom...I just about manage to escape them (Mr. Minxy likes to catch up at the weekends ???) He's an intelligent man otherwise, lol
