I WAS BITTEN BY A SPIDER IT WAS ABOUT 1/2 INCHES LONG VERY BLACK WITH A RED UNDERNEATH

That's fascinating. Where do you live, as if you are in the UK, it is very unlikely to be poisonous, unless you happen to live very close to someone who collects arachnids.

If, however, you live in the States, Africa or USA, I'd suggest you phone your nearest hospital.

Not knowing what your country of origin is makes it difficult to assess the risks presented by the spider which bit you.
If you experience swelling at the site of the bite, palpatations, breathing difficulties or any other worrying or unusual symptoms seek imediate medical assitance.
If you are a UK citizen it is very unlikey it is venomous but people can have bad reactions to the bite of even the common garden spider so again seek medical aid if there is swelling beyond the size of a five pence piece at the site of the bite.
