Can a human SMELL in STEREO? With my eyes I see 3D, with my ears I hear 3D, but my nostrils...

Rats can smell in 3D and pinpointing the location of unpleasant odors.

Well I certainly have a very rough directional sense of smell. So far it has never failed to lead me to my dinner.

Not really. To get any true stereo effect you need two sensors mounted apart from each other, such as your eyes and ears. A smell might reach one nostril before the other but normally, if you detect a strange smell, you tend to rotate to search for it. You can determine the direction of a smell to some degree by turning your head until you get the strongest signal.
