How are businesses making an effort to manage energy consumption?

I always read about tax credits and other incentives for residents and homes to switch to greener energy consumption systems, but what about the huge businesses like hotels and manufacturing plants who consume more than anyone? How are they regulated? What kind of incentives are they offered to cut back on energy consumption?

If they're regulated at all it is likely by their local government, but I don't think most agencies are as strict as they should be on these companies.
