The one about the Palestinian running amuck with the bulldozer : the content itself wasn't funny but I saw it the first on Deutsche Welle in German : the headline was 'amockfahrt mit bulldozer' : I couldn't help but associate 'amockfahrt' with 'a mock fart' : I'm still laughing at it now.

I think the story about the 8 course banquet that Gordon Brown enjoyed at the G8 summit was hard to beat. And the government asks us to economise on food! Oh, the irony!

got to be gordon and is g8 feast. here he is telling us all not to waste food while he goes and stuffs himself! my friend is in receipt of jobseekers allowance,he gets 120 pounds every two weeks, and by the time he has paid his bills and topped up his rent and council tax because the council wont pay it all he's lucky if he can buy enough food to last him 2 weeks let alone waste any. how i would love to see gordon try and live like that for a month or so.it would be the best diet he ever tried1

This one entertained me:

DEVO SUE McDONALDS

New wave icons Devo are suing McDonalds over the design of one of their new happy meal toys

McDonalds has created a series of characters to coincide with the new series of American Idol – one of them being called “New Wave Nigel”, who sports an orange hat identical to Devo’s trademark “Energy Dome”, orange jumpsuit and pink glasses.

The band also allege that the toy plays a "devo-esque" song – bass player Gerald Casale, who designed the "energy dome" hat, said that the band don’t like McDonalds, and don’t like American Idol, so are doubly offended

You can see the original energy dome in action when Devo tour the country in a few weeks when they're out for Splendour in the Grass

How's about this one:

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,374245,00.html copy

"New regulations making it a crime to annoy or inconvenience people gathering in Sydney during Pope Benedict XVI's visit later this month were criticized Tuesday as a heavy-handed blow to free speech.

The laws will apply in dozens of areas of downtown Sydney — including the city's landmark opera house, train stations and city parks — that are designated venues for World Youth Day, a Catholic evangelical festival at which the pontiff will conduct mass and lead prayer meetings.

The regulations give police and emergency services workers power to order anyone to stop behavior that "causes annoyance or inconvenience to participants in a World Youth Day event," according to a New South Wales state government gazette. Anyone who does not comply faces a 5,500 Australian dollar (US$5,300) fine"

Maybe UK cup sizes are smaller because I found this image of an FF cup girl http://www.platinum-celebs.com/messageboard/images/17Dec07-1848512432.jpg copy
And I would have said that was a D cup.
